  3. 1900 - 1875 BC* Joseph is sold by his brothers into slavery in Egypt, becomes ruler of all of Egypt, and is eventually reunited with his brothers. 1875 – 1450 BC The descendants of the 12 brothers (the Israelites) grew to over 1 million people… but also become slaves of the Pharaohs of Egypt. 1450 – 1410 BC Moses delivers Israel out of slavery and leads them (in the wilderness) for 40 years. * approximate dates
