Brief intro to Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. • Branded as Walmart • Founded in 1962 by Sam Walton, Bentonville, AR • An American multinational retailer • The biggest private employer in the world • The largest retailer in the world → 10,020 stores in 28 countries • Ranking no.2 in the Fortune 500 in 2011 → a revenue of $447 billion USD → a profit of $15.7 billionUSD during the FY2011.

Conclusion • With the product bundling and its pricing strategies, Walmart has built its own retailer empire. • From social perspective, although there’s pros and cons in Walmart, this corporation could alter its disadvantage into an opportunity to establish its corporate image via improving the corporate social responsibility.
