  4. Meteorological stations network:10 main stations, 20 climatological,> 60 pprecipitation stations.

  5. New: • Satellite receiving station / DAWBEE • finished the site preparation (indoor + outdoor systems) • expert from Croatia, will do the installation in the beginning of October • Use of Metview and Meteoalarm • already received two computers with software for Metview and Meteoalarm

  6. Sector of Hydrography • Continuing the modernization of equipment, for more precise surveys and measurements: • Multibeam echo sounder system • SVP probe, instrument for sound velocity profile definition • DGPS receiver, professional dual GPS receiver • EdgTech, side scanner sonar • CTD probe

  7. Finished the accreditation of laboratory Blue dots - profiles along the coast Red dots – profiles along water currents Yellow dots – profiles on the lakes Sector for water and air quality

  8. Meeting of inspectors In cooperation with Environmental Agency of Montenegro, we organized the Initial meeting of inspectors in environment / GEF and UNEP MAP Participation of 22 inspectors, from different fields: - Ecological inspection - Issuing of environment permits - Water inspection - Agricultural inspection - Phyto-sanitary inspection …… Fallow up of this meeting is a workshop, which will be organized next month.

  9. Sector of Hydrology Hydrological stations networkby the Master plan(done in cooperation with NVE)

  10. Memorandum of cooperation with UNDP In the framework of this Memorandum, HMI has received a specialized equipment for measuring of hydro potential (i.e. automatic hydrological stations). HMI is in cooperation with the Unit for energy efficiency and renewable energy resources / Ministry of Economy, has already installed 8 automatic stations for measurements of water flow and temperature. Stations have been installed on new locations. HMI is expecting additional 7 stations.

  11. MoU with Hydrographic Institute from Split • MoU determinates the exchange of information, data and publications, from the fields of hydrogphy, oceanography, navigation safety and environmental protection. • CBP Croatia – Montenegro, IPA II component “Joint promotion and increased level of safety of nautical tourism”

  12. Cooperation with Directorate for marine safety • Memorandum on long term experts and technical cooperation • This Memorandum includes: - join contribution of these institutions to the safe navigation in the sea and inland navigation paths; - join participation in realization of technical projects for organizations inside the country and abroad; - use of equipments, boats, navigation charts, nautical publications…..

  13. Participation: • ECMWF training workshop for using of METWIEV • Training workshop for the implementation of METEOALARM • Workshop on Climate monitoring including Climate Watch System / DWD, Germany • 2nd CEE/SEE Regional Colloquium Capacity building on Global Governance and UN Systems / Belgrade, Serbia • Workshop on DRR / UNDP, Budva, Montenegro • International Conference on risks and hazards / Davos, Switzerland

BALWOIS (Conference on Water observation and Information system), Ohrid, FYR of Macedonia - Drought monitoring in Montengro / Mirjana Ivanov - Water quality index WQI/ Pavle Djuraskovic • Regional Conference on Emergency and Crisis Management / Montenegro - Meteorological and Hydrological Hazards • Active participation in ICPDR

  15. HMI traditionally participate on Fair of ecology ~ System of early warnings and floods in region of Scadar lake and Bojana river basin / Mirjana Ivanov; ~ Weather modification and climate change / Mlađan Ćurić: ~ Influence of floods on microbiological and physico-chemical water quality / Pavle Đurašković.

  16. Active participation of HMI representatives in different initiatives and programmes of Montenegro government and institutions, regarding environmental protection, climate change, protection of humans life and goods from weather hazards (Directorate for water, Environmental Agency, Department for civil protection, Red cross, Department for renewable energy, different Ministries, municipalities…).
