Recent activities • ICSU Grant (May 2013-April 2014) WCRP in parternship with CLIVAR/VAMOS (Co -sponsored by: IAI, 5Cs and WCRP) Regional Climate Downscaling over South America, Central America and the Caribbean: A coordinated effort to pursue Vulnerability, Impacts and Adaptation studies in the region • 2 Training Workshops

  4. A partnership between CLIVAR/VAMOS and CORDEX11th-13th September 2013, Lima -Perú Hosted by the IGP (Lima, Perú)

  5. http://www.cima.fcen.uba.ar/LAC-CORDEX/ • 70 participants from 19 countries (50% were early-career scientists) • Main outcomes • Identify VIA, climate modelling on-going studies and user knowledge needs within the region ; • Develop a regional network from Latin America and the Caribbean communities; • Training participants on identifying vulnerability and risk, • developing skills in integrating and communicating climate related risk and the appropriate policy responses; • CORDEX-LAC mailinglist: cordexlac_list@cima.fcen.uba.ar
