  1. Student Occupational Awareness and Recognition Program (SOAR) SOAR offers career support to students enrolled in public middle and high schools spanning grades six to twelve. Participants receive comprehensive guidance on career paths, coupled with access to the latest labor market trends and up-to-date career information. SOAR: Student Occupational Awareness & Recognition: Potential and Career Assessment: 1 Self-assessment surveys, reflection exercises, and career exploration tools. Career Research and Exploration: 2 Online resources, informational interviews, job shadowing, and career exploration activities. Goal Setting and Career Planning: 3 Action plans, setting career goals, time management, creating SMART goals, and planning and organizing in career preparation. Education and Training Pathways: 4 Provides information about post-secondary education options, high school coursework, vocational schools, trade schools, etc. Job Search and Workplace Readiness: 5 Resume writing, interview skills, workplace communication, professional etiquette and more. Financial Literacy and Budgeting: 6 Teach students about managing student loans, saving, and budgeting.
