United Utilities ‘blue water contamination’ operational response • Do precautionary not drink advice whilst we carry out investigations– ‘blue loo’ questions • Arrange 2 officers to investigate – same day appointment • Protect the customer from the customer • Protect the network • Fast track samples and send results of fittings inspection • Request that the customer contacts us when works complete by a plumber • 2 officers return - work complete and resamples taken • Sample results – reviewed by Public Health Scientist • Do not drink lifted • Post incident review
