Health Fairs, Events, and Outreach • Create, organize, and develops effective health based programs. • These health events and research are based on past research and address current issues of the population. • These fairs may take place at schools, hospitals, ect. and events are meant to educate and raise awareness.

  7. Grants • Public health educators rely on grants from the government to design and run the health fairs, events, and outreach programs. • Some health educators are paid solely on the money from the grants. • Grants can run out!!!!! • This can create a stress on the health educator.

  8. What makes an effective Health Educator ? • Public speaking skills are very important. • Speaking more then one language is helpful too. • Writing skills are important as well.
