Application Procedure – ESF Funding Possibilities: a) Thuringian Coordination Office TNA - no calls, submission of applications possible anytime • initiatives ( “cooperation projects”) • duration: max. 6 months • max. funding rate: 30.000 Euros • objective: find reliable consortium for cooperation project • events/ conferences for transnational activities/ with transnational partners in Thuringia • The Thuringian Coordination Office TNA informs and assists the applicants in adapting their initiatives or proposals for a conference. After final submission, a Vote is prepared. During this procedure the Thuringian Coordination Office TNA is in close contact with the GFAW (exchange of information, coordination). Application Procedure – ESF Funding Possibilities: b) GFAW (Intermediate Body ESF in Thuringia) • (preliminary projects ) “strategic partnerships“ • three thematic, transnational calls already launched (1x 2009, 2x 2010) • jury decides about applications • objective: long project duration with many partners of various European regions • The GFAW - Gesellschaft für Arbeits- und Wirtschaftsförderung des Freistaats Thüringen mbH (private limited company of the Free State of Thuringia for Employment and Economic support) is the ESF intermediate body in Thuringia. It puts support programs into practice that are related to the job market and vocational training policies funded by the Free State of Thuringia and the EU. • It already launched thematic Calls and informs potential applicants. Once the jury approved the best project proposals the GFAW funds/ monitors them. • no further transnational calls intended by Managing Aurthority ESF • however, Thuringians can apply for funding in order to participate in transnational consortia involved in transnational calls of other European regions (case-by-case basis) State Development Corporation of Thuringia Thuringian Coordination Office TNA
