  2. Abstract • Liaison report from 802.11af as presented to 802.19. Prabodh Varshney, Nokia

  3. 802.11af Status before September Meeting • LB189 started on July 20th and ran for 30 days, ending at 23:59:59 ET on August 19th • The second letter ballot passed with 79.1% approval • 998 comments (316 Editorial, 87 General and 595 Technical) • Goal is to resolve all 998 comments and create a Draft 3.0 before the end of the November meeting in San Antonio . Current 802.11af Status • Approved the TGaf minutes from the July Plenary in San Diego, and August 21st and 28th, and September 4th and 11th teleconferences in documents 11-12-0986r0, 11-12-1024r0, 11-12-1038r0, 11-12-1071r0 and 11-12/1099r0 respectively. • Approved the comment resolution spreadsheet in 11-12/1017r5 as the working document. • Resolved 303 editorial and 98 technical comments (by end of Thursday AM1).   5. Regulatory update • FCC: To vote on incentive auction on Sept 28. DL will be below channel 37 and it will be available nation wide. UL will be different in different markets and will be at higher frequency as compared to DL. There will be guard band between the TVWS channels and the spectrum auctioned (both DL and UL) for cellular purpose. Auctions will be in 5 MHz channel width. • Ofcom: Final rules published in July. Multiband operation is possible. 802.11af draft need to be modified accordingly.   • ETSI BRAN (EN 301 598 v0.0.7): Most of clause 4 (technical requirement) is completed. It should be available on 802.11 member portal this week. Will have teleconference between now and December and F2F in December. Plan for November meeting • Approve Indian Wells and Teleconferences minutes • Complete comment resolution from Letter Ballot 189. • Requested TEN 2-hour meeting blocks • Produce draft 3.0 and request RLB. • Plan for January and Teleconferences. • Teleconferences: Weekly on Tuesdays through November 20.
