802.15 Liaison Report

This report provides an overview of the recent progress made in the development of 802.15.4eMAC amendments and 802.15.4f RFID standards. It also discusses the status of other working groups, such as 802.15.6 Wireless Body Area Networks and 802.15.7 Visible Light Communication.

  5. 802.15.4fRFID Approved a TG4f merged PHY document (15-09-0804-03-004f). Three new PHYS UWB (6 GHz Europe, 7 GHz U.S., 10 GHz Korea/Japan) 2.4 GHz Narrowband (750 KHz BW) 433 MHz Discussed and determined what TBD items may remain in the merged PHY document. Determined which TG4f participants will resolve TBD items in the UWB and 2.4 GHz PHY sections of the merged PHY document. TG4f participated in 1.5 of the TG4e meetings while new Frame Control Fields were discussed. TG4f requested a new ‘BLINK’ frame type to support a new TG4f UWB PHY.
