  2. SXR array space envelope located 0.2” off VV inner shell surface in a single plane. SXR array size and location off the inner surface of the VV spacer Dimensions in inches

  3. SXR array units are equally spaced within the VV spool.

  4. FW envelope Section view through VV spool piece SXR envelope height - 6 cm (2.4”) There is insufficient space for the SXR unit if they were located on the inside surface of the spool.

  5. VV spool modified with discrete vacuum cans used to contain the SXR diagnostic sensor 2 7/8 OD Vacuum can .25” gap 2.4”

  6. Spool end cut Spool midplane cut Sufficient space can be obtained if the SXR unit is located in a recessed vacuum.

  7. Of the 16 evenly spaced SXR arrays on the spool section curve, two near the horizontal port would cause final machine assembly problems. Greater spacing in the area of the port is needed.
