  2. 1. History I. Fall Quarter in 2008: 1) Department discussion regarding the criteria for faculty teaching graduate courses. 2) Basing on departmental feedbacks, Graduate Committee suggested new criteria for faculty teaching graduate courses at CBPA meetings. 3) The draft of CBPA criteria for faculty teaching graduate courses was prepared and emailed to all CBPA faculty members. II. Winter Quarter in 2009: 1)Department discussion regarding the draft of CBPA criteria. 2) Basing on departmental feedbacks, Graduate committee discussed the draft of CBPA criteria. The draft was revised. 3) Graduate committee voted for recommending the revised draft (CBPA criteria for faculty teaching graduate courses) as a CBPA policy at CBPA meeting

Faculty Teaching Graduate Courses • Major Criteria: (1) Year 2009 – 2010 The faculty member has produced six intellectual contributions (ICs) in the most recent rolling five year period including at least two qualifying peer reviewed journal articles (PRJs), two additional peer reviewed OICs, and two other intellectual contributions (OICs).

  4. (2) Year 2011 – 2012 The faculty member has produced six intellectual contributions (ICs) in the most recent rolling five year period including at least three qualifying peer reviewed journal articles (PRJs), one additional peer reviewed OIC, and two other intellectual contributions (OICs).

  5. 3. Motion The recommended draft (CBPA criteria for faculty teaching graduate courses) will be adopted as a CBPA policy starting in Spring 2009. Second? 4. Discussion 5. Vote
