  8. Statistics about the Vietnam War • 91% of Vietnam Veterans say they are glad they served. • 74% said they would serve again even knowing the outcome. • 97% were discharged under honorable conditions. • 85% of Vietnam Veterans made a successful transition to civilian life.

  9. After the war mental effects • PTSD- it stands for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Some of the symptoms are having bad dreams, loss of sleep, emotional problems, feel fearful or numb, very hard to forget. You would think that the symptoms would get better by day but it worsens. But it could take weeks, months, or even years to develop.

  11. Cure to PTSD It is easier to cure someone with PTSD first realized. The only way to get rid of it is to confront what happened to you and learn to accept it as a part of your past. This will work more effectively with a therapist or doctor.
