HOW TO TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR TIME • There is no such thing as lack of time. • Time is irreplaceable. • Make time by eliminating procrastination. • Best use of time is to work smarter and spontaneously. • Don not be over-organized, an over-doer or a time-nut. • Greater control comes from greater freedom.

DRIFT DROWN OR DIE • Every decision, beyond uncontrollable circumstances, is yours to make. • Create long-term and short-term goals. • Research and plan on goals. • Decide on what, where and how to achieve the goal. • Make lifetime goals. • Prioritize the tasks towards the goal in A B C order.

  4. START RIGHT NOW • List activities towards goals. • Eliminate low priority tasks. • Work on the goal everyday. • Avoid procrastination by planning tasks in advance. • Plan a week ahead, and plan in detail. • Recognize Internal and External time, and work appropriately. • Deal with paperwork as it comes in.

  5. ACCOMMODATING YOURSELF AND OTHER PEOPLE • Learn to say no to distractions. • Compartment your time into quiet time, thinking time, availability and social time. • What is the best use of my time right now? • Detailed planning and research. • Perform a leading task, which acts as a stepping stone. • Be concious of discouraging moods. Give yourself a pep talk.

  6. SOMETIMES IT PAYS TO SLOW DOWN • Approach tasks in new stimulating ways to avoid boredom. • Take work and rest breaks. • Remind yourself of benefits of completing your task. • Escape, realize, admit and bounce back from procrastination.

  7. Learn from your mistakes. • Do your best and consider it a success. • Don’t give up.
