  1. One of the best life hacks EVER!!! Soda Cap Containers

  2. In this project we will explore how to make soda cap containers. These containers are useful when storing small items like matches and pills for say camping trips. They are light weight and water tight so they will float in water if submerged and keep your contents nice and try as well.

  3. The first thing we are going to do is grab two plastic soda / water bottles. Be sure to rinse them out and once clean, place each one in a vice and carefully cut them off right at the neck of the bottle. Right where the lip of the bottle pokes out

  4. What you should have now are two bottle tips, sawed off at the neck. These necks may be a little rough so to smooth them out use a high grade sand paper (600 Grit) and rub the rough edges along the paper. The smoother the edges the better seal with the glue / epoxy you will have.

  5. Acknowledgements and references • Grant Thompson also know on Youtube.com as (The King Of Random) for his YouTube video on the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJC4ngQvQNY note that on his tutorial he placed plastic from a old credit card / hotel room key to have a barrier in the middle of the container. • Also a gentleman on instructables.com whose screen name is (bfgreen) His tutorial is simpler and is the one I used for this project. I also give credit to his pictures as well. http://www.instructables.com/id/Plastic-Soda-Bottle-Lid-Capsule/

  6. Place a fair amount of epoxy or glue along the lip of the bottle tips. Line them up and place them together. For an even stronger seal place them in the vice grips or loop to loop rubber bands around them to keep them together tightly. After a few hours the epoxy / glue should harden and you will have you r new container
