  13. THE WORLD BEST TOP MASS MEASUREMENT The JINR/CDF Team of J.Budagov, G.Chlachidze, V.Glagolev, F.Prokoshyn, A.Sissakian, I.Suslov together with G.Bellettini (INFN) and G.Velev(FNAL) contributed strongly to the M(top) measurement in p p -> t t +… : World Best : MTOP= 173.5 +3.7/-3.6 (stat.) +/- 1.3 (syst.) “Lepton + jets” mode A New Precise: MTOP= 169.8 + 9.2/-9.3 (stat.) +/- 3.8 (syst.) “Dilepton” mode B A B E1-2005-131 E1-2005-129

  14. Collaboration at Gran Sasso undermountain laboratories: - Borexino - Opera

  15. BOREXINO: detector • Main Goal: sub-MeV neutrinos detection (solar-Be7) • Target mass = 300/100tons organic scintillator • PC + PPO (1.5g/l) • Detection by EScareful background subtraction + high level of radiopurity required 13.7m 18m

  16. BOREXINO: subsystems • Scintillator purification systems: • Water extraction • Vacuum distillation • Silicagel adsorption detector Storage tanks: 300tons of PC CTF + DI Water plant

  17. Dubna team (LPP) did the following: Dubna group of JINR has performed the following jobs in the frame of identifying common tasks and collaborating teams from both sides. • - testing of VME electronics for the experiment, • - tuning flash electronics and analysis • - participated in the PMT finishing, the mounting and cleaning • - participation in production of the analog electronic modules for the experiment • - proposed suggestion for upgrading Borexino prototype to be able to study solar pp-neutrino. • - calibration big size of PMT in monitor and muon system (more than 2700PMT) • - complete DAQ production and test of the program complex • - Dubna physicists suggested and made the analysis of the data of CTF-detector, which gives a new physical results

  18. Future plan • Expected fill operations in 2006 that will bring the Borexino detector to the data taking stage : • Data taking with water -3-4 monthes • Start filling scintillanting liquid and than • Start data taking

  19. Collaboration "Ion sources for accelerator injection" of INFN-LNS (Catania) – IPPLM (Warsaw) – IP (Praha) – JINR (Dubna). The Collaboration was based on the coupling of a LIS and an ECR ion source.

  21. Fig. 2 – The ECRIS area at INFN-LNS.

  22. For the next future: - Continuation of bilateral and multilateral collaboration in Theoretical Physics • Continuation of common expt’s at the JINR accelerators • Continuation of common activities in international expt’s at CERN + other laboratories - Participation of JINR to underground experimens at LNGS - Participation to space expt’s TUS and NUCLEON envisaged - Participation to the SAD project now discussed - Continuation of common development of intense ion sources - Common course on accelerator physics envisaged
