UTILITY DEPOSIT WAIVER PROGRAM The Utility Deposit Waiver Program is a combined effort of the Fort Bragg Command, the Housing Office and the Fort Bragg Federal Credit Union to help Soldiers waive the electricity deposit by having the deposit guaranteed by the Credit Union. Companies Participating: Public Works Commission (PWC) Lumbee River EMC South River EMC Central EMC Documents Needed: Assignment orders to Ft Bragg or unit Lease or purchase agreement Proof of BAH for E5 and below (marriage cert or LES) Two forms of pictured ID (one being military ID) $25.00 fee for non-members (cash or check) $15.00 fee for members (cash or check) Spouses must bring the original General Power of Attorney to initiate the waiver process.   9. Certificate of Non-Availability • A Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA) is issued as an Exception to Policy for Soldiers that would otherwise be required to reside in the barracks. Soldiers with an approved CNA draw BAH at the without dependents rate • All Exception to Policy (ETP) requestare initiated by the Soldier in the CNA Housing Office on • the 6th floor of the Soldier Support Center • The Soldier is required to bring to the CNA office all the documentation that provides details of • the circumstances that may qualify them for the ETP to start the process Soldiers eligible to apply for a ETP • Non-custodial parents of minor children with significant visitation privileges • Recently divorced Soldiers in a lease signed more than 45 days before the date of divorce • Recently divorced Soldiers receiving the home bought during the marriage • Circumstances that do not justify an ETP Failure to secure an approved CNA prior to committing to a lease, Excessive household goods, pet ownership, soldier purchasing a house or entering into a lease after beginning a divorce proceeding • Special Population Soldier do not need an ETP to receive a CNA • Pregnant soldiers after the 28thweek • CID/MPI agents • Golden Knights/Black Daggers • Soldier Married to another Soldier within 45 days of spouses arrival to Fort Bragg • For more detailed information • **Link to Document Submitted** Return to Homepage
