  3. Today’s objectives • To think about and identify different activities and support materials that promote ‘classroom talk’ • To practise speaking confidently about one’s observations, opinions, experiences, and difficulties

WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY, HOW Such questions are useful for when we want to discuss many things, such as: • homework tasks (before or after submission) • students’ results in a formal test or exam • the weekend (‘small talk’ in a casual tone) • ways to prepare for an exam • how to go about turning a Mind Map into the basis of an essay • resources required in order to pursue an art project
