  1. September 2019 Notes from Head of School Meetings with Ms. Deanna & Ms. Anne Dear IPR Parents, Thank you for your help at drop off in the morning. You have made the difference in helping us transition the children into the classrooms in the morning. The children and the staff are now into their routines and enjoying their time together. In September you will have the opportunity to meet with me so that I can talk about our school goals for this year for each age group. Each class is assigned their own meeting time. If you are a two/three-year-old parent and cannot make it to the meeting time assigned for your child’s classroom you are welcome to make it to the other two/ three meeting. We ask that parents only come to the meeting for their child’s class level i.e. if you have a child in the two-year-old program you should only come to a two-year-old meeting. This is not a good meeting to bring a toddler to. If you must bring a toddler with you to the meeting, we ask that you bring a toy with you to keep your child amused. Please keep your toddler seated with you. It is distracting for parents if a toddler is wandering around the room. We also ask that parents with toddlers take their child out of the room if the child gets upset as other parents will want to hear what is being discussed. The Pre-K parents will have a special meeting with Ms. Anne and I September 10 to talk about their school options for kindergarten. Pre-K parents will need to start visiting elementary schools starting in October as charter, private and magnet school applications start after the winter break. We will have two morning meeting times for those meetings, and we ask that all Pre-K parents come to one of those meetings. Please check what your school choice options are before you come to that meeting so that I can address your specific concerns. Thank you, parents, for all your support for the start of our 2019-2020 school year. We hope that you are enjoying our lovely weather. Have fun outside with your family. Ms. Deanna Time: Meeting starts at 9:00 am after drop off Dates: Monday, 9/9: Australia and England class. Wednesday, 9/11: Oman and Kenya class Location:  All meetings are in the China classroom.
