  3. World Views • 2/3 of world does not believe in Jesus • Do they have influence in your life? • Dangers – intolerance, difficulties teaching, immorality, etc. • 1 Tim. 3:15 • 1 Thess. 5:21-22 • Ephesians 5:11 Dangers Without

  4. The Lure of the World • Satan claims many to the world • The lure of worldliness draws many away from truth! • 1 John 2:15-17 • 1 Peter 5:8 • Luke 8:13 Dangers Without

  5. Weak Preaching • Continually emphasized here! • Unbalanced preaching, indirect preaching, “positive preaching”, etc. • 2 Tim. 4:2-4 Dangers Within

  6. Worldliness • ALSO an internal danger! • We love the world MORE than God, materialism, etc. • Brethren who think more of physical than spiritual things; morality taught, compromise • 1 Cor. 5:6 • Ephesians 5:25-27 Dangers Within

  7. Worldliness • We need to be “other worldly” • Phil. 3:20 • James 4:4 • 1 Peter 2:11 Romans 12:1-2 Dangers Within

  8. Entertainment for Worship • Excitement confused for edification • WHO are we here to please? • John 4:24 Dangers Within

  9. Devouring One Another • God expects us to maintain godly attitudes! • Phil. 2:1-4 – unity! • “One another” • Do we appreciate the value of our brethren? Dangers Within

  10. Ignorance • Isaiah 5:13, Hosea 4:6 • Also in New Testament times – Titus 1:11, Ac. 20:28-30 • Eph. 4:15-16 • 2 Peter 3:18 Dangers Within

  11. Ignorance • Ignorance makes us susceptible to error, weakens opportunities, stunts our spiritual growth • A big danger in our homes as well! (cf. Deut. 6:4-6, Judges2:10) Dangers Within

  12. Indifference • Complacency. Our freedom of religion sometimes • Rev. 3:15-17 • We are expected to care about others! • Phil. 1:9, 1 Thess. 4:9-10 Dangers Within

  13. Weariness • As time wears on, do we become tired and discouraged. Do we get into a “rut”? • Galatians 6:9, 2 Thess. 3:13 • Heb. 10:36 • 1 Cor. 15:58 Dangers Within

  14. Danger are ever present! • Let us prepare for them • When possible, let us take steps to avoid them! IS YOUR SOUL IN DANGER?
