  2. Purpose of Webcast • Reporting Schedule • Accessing data from final release • Processing data review requests after public release • Using resources

Reporting Schedule • October 16 – Quality Control at district/school level ends. • Great Work, DACs and BACs!! • October 17-29 – KDE makes changes, loads to School Report Card (SRC) and performs final quality control. • October 30 – Schools and media receive access to SRC and final data. (Date embargoed until public release.) • November 2 – Public release of data occurs. • November 2-14 – After public release, clean-up and appeal process required by state regulation is available.

  4. Embargoed Data • All data shared before public reporting is embargoed.  • During the embargo period: • District and school staff may discuss the data. • Data cannot be shared in public meetings or by the media.  • KDE will share data with media outlets under embargo in preparation for the public release.

  5. Accessing Data from KDE • School Report Card • Secure link e-mailed to superintendents by Commissioner. (~9 a.m. EDT October 30) • Superintendent e-mail forwarded to DACs by OAA. (~9:30 a.m. EDT October 30) • Spreadsheets on KDE Secure Applications Site • http://apps.kde.state.ky.us/login/

Accessing Data from Vendors • Pearson ACCESS (Oct. 1 DAC E-Mail) Opens October 30 www.PearsonAccess.com/ky • QualityCore (Sept. 17 DAC E-Mail) • Student reports from MC and MC still available in system. • KDE is providing a student report template for scale score, superscore and performance level.

After Public Release Data Review • From 703 KAR 5:240 requires …data review shall be submitted to the Department of Education within ten (10) days after the Department of Education officially releases the final accountability classifications…to the public. • Nov. 2-14 Data Review Window • Closes Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. EDT
