  1. What is voice over and voice over acting? The use of voice over has grown with an in case in the use of videos and visuals. This can directly be linked to the technological revolution that has taken over the world in the last few decades. The use of animation and a greater degree of creativity being followed in the making of videos has pushed up the need of voice over services. To understand it better we must understand what voice is over. In the easiest term, voices over services are offers by voice over actors who lend their voice for narration, dialogue and other forms to the creation of a video. It is like any other art form and the success of it depends upon the caliber ofthe actor and their proficiency. These actors are also many times tied to voice over agencies who act like a medium between the actors and the people who require their services. To understand this industry better, let us look at the steps through which an agency conducts these services. 1.A client comes to an agency with a project for which they require a female voice over actor for a narration in an advertisement. There are some specifications which this company mentions such as he wants a Hindi speaking actor only. 2.The agency has the portfolio of different actors engaged with them and presents it to the client. The client chooses three of them and they are called for auditions. The final actor is chosen after these auditions. The rate and the other demands of the client are mentioned and agreed upon. 3.The agency may also provide with a recording studio wherein the voice- over is done. The client gets to tell the actor what they want and the actor delivers on it. 4.After the recording the agency might also help with the post production works such as edition and sound mixing and so on. They can provide the client with the necessary technical support or the client may choose to do it on their own terms. These are decided upon according to the services offered by the agency and the services required by the client. 5.The recording is used in the video and the process of complete. Other than agencies, many actors also offer voice over online and they are mostly freelancers. You can get in touch with them personally and agree upon the recording protocols.
