Queanbeyan Road Network Improvements 2031 • Council engaged Gabites Porter who are a well respected international specialist transport planning and engineering firm. • The Roads and Traffic Authority recommended that Council use Gabites Porter to prepare the Strategic Traffic Plan. • The Strategic Traffic Plan is a technical report that applies traffic engineering principles via a model that predicts traffic behaviour and traffic volumes into the future. • Evaluates options on their ability to meet a predetermined level of service. This method was supported by the Roads and Traffic Authority. • Uses traffic and land use data provided from ACT Government • Uses traffic and land use data from Queanbeyan City Council • Uses development schedules that have been provided by developers
