  3. EXAM OBJECTIVES • Make sure that you understand the work you submitted. • Provide feedback on your work (Mainly on system analysis and design, submitted report, presentation slides, etc.). • Evaluate your oral and written communication skills.

  4. PRESENTATION ADVICES • Avoid having slides with lots of text and number you slides. • Use note cards to remember important points. • Avoid reading from your slides and/or notes. • Presentation should be in English. • Avoid having only 1 or 2 team member(s) doing the whole presentation (team interaction is important). • Practice, practice, practice.

  5. PRESENTATION ADVICES (Cont.) • Check the location and the slot time of your presentation on the Project-1 blog. • Arrive at least 30 minutes before your presentation time. • Dress appropriately for the event. • Turn off your mobiles ☺

  6. REGULATIONS • No food or drink are allowed in the examination room. • No gifts distributed to the committee members. • No external guests allowed during the discussion session (after the presentation). • All team members should be present. • Project Presentation: 15 minutes. • Oral discussion with the committee: 20minutes. • Examiners will ask their set of questions in turn Each examiner has 5-6 minutes to ask her questions. (ct’s supervisor should be present.

  7. PRESENTATION CONTENTS • Introduction, project goal and objectives (1-2 slide) • Problem definition (1 slide) • Solution, project scope (1-2 slides) • Literature review (1 slide) • System analysis and design (5-10 slides) • • Consult your supervisor • Conclusion (1 slide) • **YOUR PRESENTATION SHOULD NOT EXCEED 15 MINUTES**

  8. EXAMINATION TIPS • Be calm, positive, confident, enthusiastic, and pleasant. Arrogance is badly evaluated. • Use body language and maintain eye contact with your audience. • Add humor whenever appropriate and possible. • Take all examiners' questions and feedback. • Thank your audience at the end of your presentation.

  9. COMMITTEE DISCUSSION • Listen to the committee members' questions carefully, and do not interrupt them before starting answering. • Organize yourselves when answering questions. • Do not interrupt your teammate while she is answering. • You may step in politely if your teammate is unable to answer a question, or if you would like to add a comment. • If you don’t understand the question, ask for a clarification or rephrase in a polite manner. • Avoid not to say nothing if you can not understand the question, and avoid trying to get some help from your supervisor.

  10. EVALUATION CRITERIA • You will be evaluated as follows: • • Documentation 70% • • Presentation and Discussion 30% Please, refer to your supervisor for the evaluation form • details.

  12. Submission Instructions • ALL deliverables (final report and presentation slides) • must be sent tothe project email. • The subject line of your email should include: • Group number • Project title • • Supervisor name
