  1. Straight Edge:Feedback Summary By Steph, Jade, Katie and Jennifer

  2. The general opinion • As a group we produced an anamatic’s so that we could represent what our film is basically about. • The reason we did this was so that we could gain feedback on our film and make any changes we felt necessary in order for our film to be successful. • To collect this information we played our anamatic’s to a selected audience and asked them to fill in the questionnaire on the next slide • The overall opinion was that it was sensitively produced and targeted at the correct audience but that there was a few changes that they felt necessary in order for the film to make more sense or more interesting for our intended viewers.

  5. The idea of the film • As the film has such a sensitive subject, we found that a lot of the feedback was very positive. This subject was never going to appeal to everyone and we understood that and therefore we are pleased as a group that the majority of people would be interested in our film and keen to see how it would progress. • This could link into the characters of the film, because we feel that as a group we must use the correct characters in order for the message of the film to be put across, this would inevitably stop the film from becoming confusing for our viewer. • Also we believe that the mass of dialogue could be increased in certain areas in order for the audience to understand the feelings of the actors and on screen characters.

  6. Other points made • The location of the film got two negative comments from the feedback, however as a group we feel that these comments were not strong enough for us to change our original settings and have chosen to ignore these comments. • Again the realism of our film only had two negative comments justified by the fact that things in our film don’t happen in real life, this could be said about all Hollywood and professional films and so again have chosen to stick with our storyline. • Finally the relationships throughout are film are said to be confusing and without a build up, this is a point that as a group we will have to take on board and suggest ways that we can portray in a clearer way.

  7. Changes to the film • There was quite a few changes to the film that were recommended, for example; • Name of the film • Background music • Indicate how she is lost and show more confusion at the beginning of the film • As a group we have decided to stop the confusion by adding a voice over the top whilst the film is playing, this will be the main characters thoughts feelings, which we feel will explain briefly to the audience what is going on. Also our music will be changed because we don’t feel it was effective all throughout.
