  2. CASE: HOW IS THIS STUFF QUESTION- ANSWERS 1.How would you relieve Jane’s anxiety? How is a course in organizational behavior going to make her a better manager? Ans. We relieved Jane’s anxiety to tell that each and every term which is used for being manager, like leadership skills, communication skills, motivating skills. If she is clear with every aspect then surely we relieve her from her anxiety. And OB play very important role because in OB we read about the behavior of individual, as well as in groups and that is very important aspect for making her a better manager. 2. Why did the professor start off with a brief overview of emerging challenges? Ans. The professor starts off with a brief overview of emerging challenges because we need OB in field of management. Every person who works in an organization need to understand human behavior of other it may be his subordinate, superior and his collogues. 3. How does a course in a organization behavior differ from courses in fields such as accounting finance or marketing? Ans. Organizational behavior is different from the other aspect like marketing accounting and finance because accounting and finance related to figures or we can say in monetary term and marketing is about the product marketing when we introduce our product in market. OB is the course in which we study about the human behavior, how they interact with each other.

  3. CASE: TOO NICE TO PEOPLE QUESTION-ANSWERS 1.How would you react with your father comments if you were john? Ans. If I would john then I never follow my father’s comment because according to me managing people is not much important because in present trend we need to motivate our employees first so we have to interact with them politely. If we will be polite to them then they will not hesitate to give their views regarding the benefit of the organization. 2. Do you think john’s father understood and interpreted the Hawthorne studies correctly? Ans. John’s father interpreted the Hawthorne studies correctly, according to his father’s experience he tells that his first priority is to manage people properly and second is treated them nicely. 3. What phases of management do you john’s father has gone through in this family business? Do you think he understands the significance of recent trends in the environment and how the new paradigm will affect his business? Ans.I think john’s father adopts old tactics of management that means he wants to bound his employees. No I don’t think so his father understand the significance of recent trends that’s why he gave so much boundations to his employees but recent trend is to give favorable enviornment to employees who are working in organization. 4. How would you explain to your father the new perspective that is needed and how the study of organizational behavior will help the business be successful in the new paradigm? Ans. If I have to convince my father about the new perspective that is needed in the organization then I would tell my father about the positive aspects of OB. OB is that area in which everything is included. Lower management till upper management. If we want to increase our long term profitability then we should tackle our employees if as nicely and should understand the behavior of all persons working in the organization.

  4. CASE:HOW FAR- REACHING ARE GLOBALIZATION AND TECHNOLOGY QUESTION-ANSWERS 1.Is bob correct in his assessment of how globalization will impact his business? Ans. No I don’t think that bob was correct in his assessment of globalization impact on his business because from my point of view globalization has important impact on business. If expand our business then we will get more and more profitability in our business, and one more aspect is that we will get more contact with others. 2.Can you think of any internet applications that bob could profit from? Ans. Yes, bob can profit from internet application because bob can Increase the number of his new costumer through internet he can also give advertisements on internet which will benefited him as well as his costumer with the help of internet he can increase his sales also. 3.How could bob’s business be negatively impacted by both technology and globalization if he does not keep on top of these developments? Ans. Bob’s business could be negatively impacted because he wants to increase his infrastructure and wants to open his branches in different cities. Without this globalization and impact of technology he can’t expand his business.

CASE: A WORLD OF SWEATSHOP QUESTION-ANSWERS 1.What ethical responsibility do you think firms from the us and other developed counties have in making sure their suppliers from developing countries are not badly exploiting workers? Ans. I think us and other developing counties have in making sure their suppliers from developing countries are not badly exploiting workers because they are providing better environment to their employees . 2.How do you react to the statement at the end of the case by the Indonesian manager that ‘if we are not cheap enough, customer will go to Vietnam or else where’? Ans. According to me if they are not cheap enough then their all customers who can’t afford their product will certainly move towards other companies. 3.Beside the ethical, human right issues, are their any implication in this case for the study and application of organization behavior? Ans. As per the code of conduct in organization behavior there are many issue which are important for the workers who are working in organization such as employees working condition, their salaries incentives, job security of employees.
