To the North is the Mediterranean sea Very Dry area Average about under 25 mm of rain a year One of the hottest regions in the world during the hottest months temperatures can exceed to 122°F The hottest it has ever been was 136°F Location & Climatic Conditions

Plant life • African Welwitchsia • African Peyote Cactus • Eragrostis • Common Fig • Date Palm • DoumPalm • Thyme • Magaria • Olive Trees • Species known as Xerophytes • Xerophytes are plants that are adapted to a limited supply of water • Plants in the desert adapt to survive by storing water inside of them so that they can use it when it has not rained for weeks at a time.
