FLORIDA DISTRICT CONVENTION

Renaissance Orlando Resort at Sea World

August 24-27, 2006

INVOCATION

International Convention 2006

Taken in the House of Delegates

SPEAKER – July 13TH

Heavenly Father:

Remind us that we cannot change the past and that we should not ruin the present by worrying about the future.

Help us always to see the needs of others and to know that, with you beside us to guide us, we can help to fulfill those needs.

And now bless this food to our use and us to Your service. Amen

Chief David Sembach

All new members, seasoned members, officers and Board members should plan to attend this annual event for Florida Kiwanians. For those who have been to past Florida conventions, you'll agree that these conventions include a lot of great workshops, speakers, and our election of October 1st District officers--and there is still time for fun, so bring your families.

Our club secretary will be getting info on the Convention frequently, and it will be in your Florida Kiwanis magazines--or go to www.Floridakiwanis.com Bill Montgomery

THE CARING CORNER

Each Florida District Convention includes a Caring Corner which sells items to help fund and support our sponsored programs- Key Clubs, Circle-K, K-Kids, Builders Clubs and Aktion Clubs.

Please consider donating items which can be delivered to the Caring Corner by Beaches members who attend the convention.

Items to donate include: handmade crafts, homemade foods, artwork, antiques, collectables, select jewelry, gift certificates, travel opportunities, use of a vacation home, sports memorabilia.

Let's help make this year's Caring Corner another successful fund raiser.

Bill Montgomery

Perfect attendance is defined as an earned attendance credit for each week during a period of 12 consecutive months. Credits can be earned by attending your regular club meeting or the meeting of another Kiwanis club, participating in a club project, attending a regular meeting of your club’s board of directors, attending a Circle K, Key Club, or Builders Club, K-Kids, or Aktion Club meeting, and other ways. Credits for non meeting activities, such as projects, usually are limited to one credit per month for each type of activity. The club secretary's guidebook has a complete set of Official Attendance Rules.
