Simple sentence building. Combining what we have learned so far. Gi is past tense Wi is future tense Word order is not very important but in order to sound more like a fluent speaker we will put the item we want to emphasize out front.

Combining what we have learned so far. • Gi is past tense • Wi is future tense • Word order is not very important but in order to sound more like a fluent speaker we will put the item we want to emphasize out front. • If the sentence is a question the ne is usually the second thing in a sentence

  3. Basic Independent pattern with AI verbs • Nmaji- I leave • Gmaji- you leave • Maji- he/she leave • Nmajimen- We (-u) leave • Gmajimen- we all leave • Gmajim- You all leave • Majik- They leave.

  4. Animacy and Inanimacy • Remember Animacy (living) and Inanimacy (non living) are extremely important to the language from pluralizing to which verb to use to which this or that to use. • Also because the verb is so important we are going to highlight the verb yellow and the personal pronoun blue.

  5. Demonstratives • Animate Singular • Ode- this (close) • O- that (a little further away) • Ago- that (far away) Plural • Gode- these ( close) • Gi- those (a little further away) • Egi- those ( far away) Inanimate Singular Ode- this ( close) i- that (further away) E’i- that ( far away) Plural Node- these ( close) Ni- those ( a little further away) E’ni- those ( far away)

  10. Practice Practice Practice • When it comes to making sentences this is the bread and butter of the language. The better you become at using the different tenses and forming sentences the quicker you will become proficient enough to start talking in the language. Keep with it you are doing great!!
