  1. Great Physician Spiritual Examination - Revelation 2:19 • Love • Faith • Service • Endurance

  2. LOVE - The Heartbeat of the Church • 1 John 2:15 • Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. • John 13:35 • By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. • Matthew 5:44 • But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you

  3. Judgmental/Love/Tolerate

  4. “JUDGMENTAL” • “We might impress people with our strengths, but we connect with people through our weaknesses.” • Craig Groeschel

  5. “LOVE” and “TOLERATE” - v. 20 • We must aggressively practice love. Everyone loves love, it seems, but few recognize how incompatible love is with the new tolerance. Tolerance simply avoids offending someone; we must help our children live in love, which actively seeks to promote the good of another person. • Tolerance says, "You must approve of what I do."Love responds, "I must do something harder; I will love you, even when your behavior offends me." • Tolerance says, "You must agree with me."Love responds, "I must do something harder; I will tell you the truth, because I am convinced 'the truth will set you free.' " • Tolerance says, "You must allow me to have my way."Love responds, "I must do something harder; I will plead with you to follow the right way, because I believe you are worth the risk." • Tolerance seeks to be inoffensive; love takes risks. Tolerance glorifies division; love seeks unity. Tolerance costs nothing; love costs everything. • Josh McDowell

  6. FAITH • Romans 10:17 • So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. • John 6:29 • Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

  7. Ephesians 2:8-10 • 8For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. • Colossians 3:1-2 • If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

  8. Who is the Jezebel in our life? - (v. 20) • Where am I hearing things that may be tearing down my faith? (v. 29)

  9. SERVICE Servometer

  10. Titus 2:14 • who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. • Revelation 2:23b • And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works. • James 2:14,17 • What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? • So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

  11. “I have discovered that the most challenging and fulfilling moments in life come when we are building rather than maintaining.” • Vince Lombardi

  12. ENDURANCE

  13. “Hold Fast” v. 25 • “Hold on to the end” v. 26 • Philippians 3:14 • What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?

  14. Jesus: “I know your works…and that your latter works exceed the first.” (v. 19) • Constant Improvement • How do you measure that?   • ONE PERSON AT A TIME!

  15. Are you healthier than you were at your last exam?
