  4. Windows 2000 Accessibility Wizard The accessibility wizard allow users to set up their computer to fit their particular needs based on their disability. For example: A person who is visually impaired can use the wizard to increase the font size of items shown on the computer screen.

  5. Windows 2000 Accessibility Wizard • Options to assist individuals who: • have visual impairments. • have hearing impairments. • have trouble using the keyboard.

  6. Accessibility Wizard - Visual Assistance • Select scroll bar and window border size. • Select icon size. • Select color scheme – high contrast. • Select the size, color and blink rate of the mouse cursor.

  7. Accessibility Wizard - Keyboard Assistance • Use StickyKeys. • Ignore repeated keystrokes. • Play a sound whenever you press CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK, or SCROLL LOCK. • Display extra keyboard help whenever it's available.

  8. Accessibility Wizard - Auditory Assistance • Show visual warnings to notify of system events. • See captions for speech and sounds in programs that offer this feature.

  9. Accessibility Wizard - Mouse Assistance • Use the numeric keypad instead of the mouse to move the mouse pointer. • Select the size and color of the mouse cursor. • Configure the mouse for right- or left-handed use. • Adjust the speed of the mouse pointer.

  10. Narrator • A text-to-speech utility that uses a synthetic voice to read written text on the screen. • Narrator reads dialog boxes and window controls in a number of the more basic applications for Windows. • You can change the pitch, rate and tone of the screen reader’s voice as well as its pronunciation and accent.

  11. Magnifier • This feature will magnify everything on the screen from 2x to 9x magnification.
