  3. Interesting Facts Latin Flags -> • The Most commonly used language was Latin. • Latin became the language of all educated people. • Despite fierce national loyalty, everyone had their own responsibility to the church. • Dominant force in preserving and transmitting culture in Europe Europe

  4. Monks • Medieval Monks only ate bread, The only time they ate meat was when they were sick. • They also ate fruit and vegetables which they would grow.

  5. Friars • Friars are different from monks in that they are called to live the evangelical counsels (vows of poverty, chastity and obedience)

  6.
