General Info • Discount retailer • Sells everything the average consumer could want • Advertising – on TV, emphasizes low prices and “working at Wal-Mart is great.” • Many types of stores: Wal-Mart discount stores (what we’re used to), Supercenters (discount stores with groceries), SAM’S Club (membership only, like Costco), Neighborhood Markets (groceries, pharmaceuticals, and general shopping needs)
