Successes/ Challenges • Districts at different stages on the PD continuum • Wide diversity of districts in Idaho, each with different hills to climb • SBAC Summative assessment online in Spring 2015-TIME! • Last fall 75% of teachers surveyed reported a district implementation plan in place • Evidence of effective implementation around the state • Promising New Initiatives-Idaho Core Coaches embedded regionally

Coming Attraction: Idaho Core Coaches • What: a system of regional coaches dedicated to deep training in the big shifts in ELA/Literacy • Who are they?: Educators with Proven track records of providing excellent, innovative Idaho Core PD; Leaders working on the cutting edge of core implementation • The plan: Provide deep, ongoing , consistent training of Teacher Leaders in the big shifts in ELA/Literacy- building human capital • Parallel Training for administrators to foster common language and understanding of the Idaho Core in the classroom
