General Objectives • Create and attract high-intellectual and technology based bio businesses, generating a high value added to Ensenada. • Promote a sustainable use of natural resources by means of technology development. • Create a technology-based environment in Ensenada to stimulate the use of new technologies in the current industries.

  4. Mid-term Objectives (1-3 years) • Consolidate the Bio-business Council of Ensenada. • Create the needed structure for incubating local biotechnology business, based on infrastructure and technology parks research and development, human resource development. • Convert current research into new businesses.

Main Departments • Oceanography Research Institute. • Science Faculty. • Ocean Science Faculty. • Center of Scientific Research and High Education • Experimental and applied division of biology. • Oceanography Department. Human Resource • We have 27 researches in Ensenada • 8 Technicians. • And approximately 10 graduates annually in biology, 51 masters and 10 doctors. Main graduate careers • Graduate in biology. • Master and Ph.D of Science in aquaculture. • Master and Ph.D in oceanography
