Are Student Jobs Important for Students Future Careers? • 53%of all students surveyed say their job is important to their future career because: • It helps pay for school. • It teaches valuable general work skills. • It helps keep them focused during the semester. • It teaches them skills related to their future jobs.

  8. Suggestions for Improving the Application/Hiring Process • Students wished that Hiring Managers: • Were more diligent in responding to students job inquiries. • Would let students know if they received their job application. • Were more specific about necessary application steps. • Provided a specific day and time that they planned on getting back to all students that applied for a job. • Communicated better with students through the online system.
