Discipleship • Salt and Light (Mt. 5:13-14) • Salt of the Earth • Very strong flavor on its own but when added to other foods it brings out the enhanced flavor of that food. It does not change the flavor. • Preserver • Light of the world • Share our talents and gifts with others. Do not hide then or keep then for yourself alone. • How are you needed? • Give examples of how you can use your talents for the sake of the whole Church.

Discipleship • Looking toward the ultimate goal • Eternal life in the holy presence of the glory of God • What talents have I been given and how can I use them to serve God and neighbor? • Am I afraid to say yes to God’s plan for me because in society’s view it is not a “money maker” or “power seeking” occupation? • Does the career in which I am interested contribute to the common good? • Can I keep my faith in the environment in which I will be living?
