  2. What is SafeAssign? SafeAssign is a valuable tool for encouraging original writing and proper citation practices within your course. SafeAssign compares your students’ work with previously submitted papers and published works from several database is and the Internet. Workshop Overview 1

  3. What is SafeAssign? Once a paper is submitted in SafeAssign, a report is generated that indicates the percentage of the paper that matches existing sources. The overall score can be an indicator that you need to review the paper more closely. Workshop Overview 1

  24. Direct Submit Direct Submit generates SafeAssign reports or papers submitted outside of a SafeAssignment. • You can also use Direct Submit to add papers to the • institutional database. Managing SafeAssignments 4

  25. Direct Submit You can upload files to either a shared or a private folder. Shared: Viewable by other instructors with access to Direct Submit Private: Viewable only by the instructor Managing SafeAssignments 4
