  1. Technology Exemplar Network

  2. The Technology Exemplar Network was launched in 2008 with 62 members and is jointly led by government technology partner Becta and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). It works to share best practice for using technology between different learning providers across the country. Exemplar Status

Multi-function ID Cards. • This has simplified the process of accessing the network and provides a firm basis for a College wide identification system. • Mobile Internet Access • Allowing assessors more flexibility in the workplace • Thin Terminal Clients • Increased lifespan of capital spend, energy saving and more access and flexibility for users Technology has been introduced in a variety of ways to benefit learners and staff at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College.

Technology has been introduced in a variety of ways to benefit learners and staff at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College. • In House Training • Training and development is scheduled throughout the year to further promote the use of interactive classroom technologies including SRS (student response systems), Papershow, Busbi cameras and LanSchool (classroom management system). • The ILT training team are part of the National LSIS( Learning and Skills Improvement Service) PDA (Professional Development Advisor) scheme assisting them to share and promote best practice.

  5. Technology has been introduced in a variety of ways to benefit learners and staff at North Warwickshire & Hinckley College. As part of the College strategic objective to increase the use of Document Management Systems and our Extranet (SharePoint) there is a drive to reduce the reliance on manual records and processes by way of scanning and archiving records. To support this aim further the E-Services department have worked with the Quality department to create in-house systems including an online observation database, a bespoke system for learner questionnaires and an electronic Self Assessment Report system.
