  5. SIGNUM Enclosures - New 3SF58 2.Generation Slaves: • Slaves to mount in the base of the enclosure • Fingerproof – IP20 • Connection via a 10-pole connector • Versions: - F-Adapter, 4I/4O, 4I/3O (AB) - versions for use in metall- or plastic enclosures

In contrast to the old version, there is no slave incuded in the basic price. Reason: It is possible to choose between slaves with 4I/4O and A/B slaves with 4I/3O. These have different list prices.

SIGNUM Enclosures – I/O allignment 3SF58 2.Generation Example Because of the fixed technology based on circuit boards, the allignment of the I/O´s to the contact blocks and lamp holders was complicated on the old version ot the AS-Interface enclosures. The customer gets the alignment with the delivery of the enclosure, but he needs it when he is working on the PLC program. To give the customer the possibility to create the PLC program before the delivery, a alignment logic was intoduced on the new AS-Interface enclosures.(downmost contact = E1, counted to the top) OLD NEW

  23. SIGNUM Enclosures – Self fitting 3SF58 2.Generation 4. Wiring – typical wiring mistakes Are there more than one slave in use, the contact blocks and lamp holders of the different slaves are not allowed to be connected with each other.

  24. SIGNUM Enclosures – Self fitting 3SF58 2.Generation 4. Wiring – typical wiring mistakes Inputs, which are laid out of the enclosure via an M12 socket, are not allowed to connect to an external power supply.These Inputs have to be connected to Sensor + of the enclosure´s slave.

Wiring – typical wiring mistakes Outputs, which are laid out of the enclosure via an M12 socket, are not allowed to connect to an external grounding. These Outputs has to be connected to Sensor - of the enclosure´s slave.Maximum current on the M12 socket is 500 mA.
