Center for Wireless Communications CWC History • CWC Founded in February 1995 • Goal: Offer a cross-disciplinary program of research and education targeted at the emerging needs of the cellular and wireless communications industry • CWC in 2003 • 14 industry partners and 24 affiliated Faculty (12 are IEEE Fellows) • Supporting almost 50 Ph.D. level graduate students

Center for Wireless Communications Conclusions • Since its founding in 1995, the CWC has grown to become one of the pre-eminent University wireless research groups in the world • The CWC actively engages in cutting edge research in Wireless Communications that spans interdisciplinary borders. • Students are trained to be the new technological leaders in next generation wireless systems and devices. • CWC members derive benefits from the Center through access to early research results, intellectual property, recruiting of students, interaction with faculty and visiting scholars.
