ANNOUNCEMENTS • Welcome • New head coaches: Betsy Selover, Cross Country, Pat Oliver, girls soccer, David Starr, boys basketball, Tim McMahon, girls basketball, Ashley Eichelberger, football cheerleading. • In the past, the boosters have assigned nights for parents to work the concession stand. Reminders will be mailed from boosters when scheduled to work in the concession stand. If there is a scheduling conflict, please contact Lori Hulbert for HS events or Arnetta Wallbrownfor MS events.

PASSES • All Sports Pass – Adult = $100.00 • All Sports Pass – Student = $60.00 • Cap for season passes for family= $320.00 • 10 Event Pass – Adult = $50.00 (one pass per person) • 10 Event Pass – Student = $35.00 (one pass per person) • Golden Laker – Live in the district = Free • Golden Laker – Live outside the district - $25.00 • Pre-sale Adult (Football Only) = $6.00 (HS & Miller Graphics) • Pre-sale Student (Football & BB Only) = $4.00 (Can be purchased in all school buildings & Miller Graphics)

SCHOLASTIC ELIGIBILITY • Must be currently enrolled & a resident of the district • Must have passed 5 one-credit courses or the equivalent • Indian Lake Policy – no “F’s”; must sit out until mid-term. If eligible, can participate that evening. If do not pass 5 credits, must sit out the entire 9 weeks • MS students must pass minimum of 5 courses taken in preceding grading period • Exam grades, mid-term and final grades do not count; only preceding quarter grades count

CODE OF CONDUCT • 365-day policy • Accumulative from the beginning of the 7th grade until graduation • Major Violations • No student athlete shall use, misuse, possess, give, conceal, consume, or be under the influence of any drug of abuse (controlled dangerous substance), substances that produce toxic vapors, counterfeit (look-a-like) drugs, alcoholic beverages or any type of tobacco product in any form.

  8. CODE OF CONDUCT • Penalties • First Offense: 30% of originally scheduled games. If percentage does not finish out the season, remaining percentage will carry over to the next season in which the student participates. • Second Offense: Denial of participation for one calendar year & seek counseling within two weeks of violation approved by the Principal or Athletic Director. • Third Offense: Denial of participation for the remainder of years at Indian Lake.

  9. CODE OF CONDUCT • Quitting a team -- cannot participate with another team until final contest of previous team is completed • If cut from a squad, may try out for another squad at that time • Hazing • Any act of initiation into an organization that causes or creates a substantial risk of causing mental or physical harm to any person • Addressed in the Ohio Revised Code & is punishable in a court of law

  10. CODE OF CONDUCT • Concurrent Participation • Transportation • Prefer teams at the HS level travel to & from each contest on the bus provided by the school • MS athletes must have parent sign-out sheet • Must travel with a parent or guardian; if other, must be approved prior to the contest

  11. CODE OF CONDUCT • Award Night Attendance • Must be in attendance to receive awards • In extreme circumstances, must seek the approval from the head coach to be absent

CODE OF CONDUCT • Equipment • Athlete is responsible for any equipment issued by the school • Must be turned in at the conclusion of the season • If lost or damaged due to negligence or purposeful intent, will become the financial responsibility of the student • Athlete must have all equipment & uniforms turned in (or financial obligations satisfied) before they can participate in the next sport • Awards can be held & a hold put on the release of grade cards

CODE OF CONDUCT • School Attendance • Must be present in school from at least 11:05 am through the remainder of the day; exceptions may be determined by the Principal or Athletic Director • Students not present the day before a Saturday contest or a shoolbreak • Guideline to be used willbe if absence would allow the student to do make-up work for the classes missed

CHAIN OF COMMAND • Coach, Athletic Director, Principal • Inappropriate topics to discuss with a coach • Team strategy or play calling • Other players on the team • Playing/participation time • Please do not confront a coach before, during or following a contest or practice. These are busy or sometimes emotional times for both parent & coach & nothing objective gets accomplished.

SPORTSMANSHIP & CONDUCT • Expected to conduct yourself with respect & dignity • Yelling at officials, coaches & players does no good • We are asking you to cheer in a positive manner for our team. Booing the opponent or saying negative comments about the officials will not change the outcome of the game • Anonymous letters
