  1. WELCOME The university of Queensland Sailing club

  2. We offer events such as:- • Social Sailing • Whitsundays • Racing • Moreton Island

  3. Social Sailing Social sailing gives members a non-competitive environment with supervised access to our entire fleet. Social sailing is geared towards all members regardless of skill level. It is a great introduction to the sport. UQ Sailing has several experienced members organizing and running it to ensure a safe day out on the water.

  4. Whitsundays Every year, UQ Sail brings over 40 bright sailors to enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Whitsunday Island group. They sailed, snorkeled, partied and woke up a new for 8 days and 7 nights until they reluctantly returned home to Brisbane! Whether you’re into mono-hulls or catamarans we’ve got you covered! You can expect to spend your days in luxury within our well-equipped yachts. Only the best ingredients are purchased for meals and there is always ample for more servings!

  5. racing We will be organising carpooling most days from UQ St Lucia Pool. If you are looking for crew make sure to join the UQSAIL facebook group online. You need to be a member of UQ Sailing, have sufficient experience and be approved by UQ Sailing before you will be allowed to hire a boat. To get approval please contact us directly we will then upgrade your membership once the decision has been made. 

  6. Moreton island You get awesome sailing (or chilling on the beach, or snorkeling, or whatever takes your fancy really!) - Return transport- Amazing food- Sailing- Evening events- Camp ground- Sand boards
