  1. 5 Ways to Reduce Your Environmental Footprint By Unicor LLC

  2. The environment provides us with every conceivable thing that we need. From sustenance to shelter to the air that we breathe in, everything is provided to us by the trees. Yet, the ever-growing greed of the humans wouldn’t let them rest in peace. The rate at which the planet is being exploited for its resources, we are looking forward to a scarcity of resources at a global scale within the next two decades.

  3. 5 Points… • Recycle • Carpool • Avoid Plastic Bags • Buy Organic Food • Save Energy

  4. Recycle • There is hardly a better way to save the resources than recycle them. Be it paper or plastic, every article that is recycled is a penny saved in production. Rather than tossing the paper into the dustbin, you can use the paper shredder machines to do the job. • In fact, many companies have taken up Recycling and secure document destruction to save the wastage rate of the company and a greener and an ecologically aware step towards the future.

  5. Carpool • Cars add significantly to the global warming and the greenhouse effect due to the gaseous emissions. By availing public transport or carpool, you can significantly cut down the carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emissions and reduce your environmental footprints.

  6. Avoid Plastic Bags • One plastic bag takes up to a billion years to fully decompose. Not only are plastic bags a danger to the environment, but they can also be a potential health hazard. Take your own bag to the grocery store or opt for a brown bio-degradable paper bag instead.

  7. Buy Organic Food • Organic food usually comes from the local market and is devoid of chemicals fertilizers and pesticides which are harmful to the environment. Buying organic fruits and vegetables help to conserve the fuel costs that go on transporting the produce from the farmer’s field to your home. Additionally, they are also a healthier option.

  8. Save Energy • Switch off the appliances when you do not need them. Make sure the oven, fans and other electrical appliances are turned off when you leave your house for work. You can also switch to energy efficient light bulbs that consume less electricity and are environment-friendly.

  9. Conclusion • Most people have the erroneous belief system that a single man’s action will not make any difference. But, it takes just one person to introduce a change before it spreads like wildfire. From simply shredding the paper with the help of a document destruction service to opting for a carpool over a personal car for transportation can make all the difference.
