Fertilizer Companies should arrange for a primary stock point in each district in which they are marketing fertilizer products with a view towards ensuring sufficient supply to each Block in the Country.

Lead Fertilizer Companies (LFC) should maintained a primary stock point in each districts of the State. (BVFCL being the LFC for Tripura).

  • As per Stage III of NPS for Urea manufacturing units, the DOF will operate a buffer stock through the Institutional agencies/Fertilizer companies in States up to a limit of 5% of their seasonal requirement. But, this system has not been implemented in the State.

  • The Department of Fertilizer will arrange for prepositioning of Urea at the level of 75% of each months requirement from Kharif,’07 onwards as against the current practice of 33%.

The above four decisions have not been implemented so far in spite of repeated persuasions by the State Government.
