  1. Welcome to Mrs. Cofer’s Class! Please watch to learn more about your teacher and class.

  2. About Mrs. Cofer! I moved to Chapel Hill from Garland, TX in the 6th grade. In High School, I was a member of the FHA, and a Highlighter my senior year. I graduated from Chapel Hill in 1999. I received my Associates at Tyler Junior College, and my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from UT Tyler. This is my 9th year at Kissam. I have been married to Jason Cofer for 10 years and we have a 4 year old daughter and one on the way.  I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, water sports, and taking short trips. I am also a member at Green Acres Baptist Church.

Daily Schedule 7:50-8:00 Get supplies ready 8:00-8:30 Morning Meeting 8:30-9:00 Social Studies / Intervention 9:00-9:45 P.E. / Music / Library / Enrichment 9:45-11:25 Math/Science 11:30-12:00 Recess 12:00-12:30 Lunch / Break 12:30-2:50 Reading / LA / Spelling (no words home,computer) 2:55 Dismissal

  5. Classroom Guidelines • Follow directions quickly • Raise your hand for permission to speak • Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat • Make smart choices • Be proud of yourself and others (Ask your child to show you the hand signals after the first week of school)

  6. Behavior Clips!! GOOD CHOICES- Blue READY TO LEARN- Green (start) THINK ABOUT IT- Yellow TEACHER’S CHOICE- Orange PARENT CONTACT- Red Check planner / agenda

  7. BULLDOG BUCKS Your child can earn stickers (bulldog bucks) for good behavior. They can turn them in for items such as: • No homework pass • Free time • Call home • Planned parties • Help in the office ….and many more….

  8. Colored Folders Purple- Take Home Folder Red- Reading Log and Homework Green- Poetry / Writing Orange (or other)- Desk Folder Blue- math / science Yellow- math / science
