  1. 2 December 2013 • Now that we’ve finished Night, answer the following questions in your warm-ups. • 1. Why do you think Elie decided to entitle his memoir Night? Do you think this is an appropriate title? Why or why not? • What did you think about the ending? Why do you think Elie chose to end his memoir in this fashion? Would you change the ending? Why or why not? If you would change it, how would you end it?

The Perils of Indifference • After listening to the speech and annotating it, write a well-developed paragraph (on a separate sheet of paper) stating whether or not you feel the speech was effective.
