Top Actions in the M6 World • Completed fielding of AHLTA 3.3 (98%) AHLTA 3.3 provides Automated Coding, Alerts, Electronic Patient Signature, Multi-site User access, improved performance and speed, integrated immunizations and central vaccination documentation. • AHLTA Dental is deployed to 20 Navy Sites including: Quantico, Annapolis, Gulfport, Pax River, Washington Navy Yard, Brunswick, Newport News, Groton, Portsmouth, NNMC, Colts Neck, Lakehurst and Meridian. AHLTA Dental is now used by over 630 Dental Health professionals • ESSENTRIS provides improved inpatient documentation. Essentris will be deployed to Navy Medicine inpatient facilities using commercial off-the-shelf software. It was initially deployed at NAVHOSP Bremerton for initial testing to include transfer of information to VA. Follow on deployments are scheduled for NAVHOSPS Oak Harbor, 29 Palms Camp Lejeune, JAX and NMC Portsmouth.

Top Actions in the M6 World (Cont) • Wireless LAN • WLAN capability fielded initially at NH Beaufort on 30 Sep 2009 • Follow-on deployment planned to 28 sites (11 during FY10 – 17 in FY11) • Will provide time savings and greater mobility to clinical workforce • James A Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago. Jointly developing common IT capability to provide health care to DOD and VA customers in the same facility by opening day 1 Oct 2010.

  4. Electronic Health Record Afloat • TMIP-M fielded aboard: GEORGE H.W. BUSH; CAPE ST GEORGE; STERRETT; RONALD REAGAN; STENNIS, MCFAUL, MOMSEN; AND FARRAGAUT • M6 Goal is to continue fielding during FY10 aboard CVN’s (ABRAHAM LINCOLN, STENNIS and ROOSEVELT), USS SHOUP (DDG-86), USS MT WHITNEY(LCC-20), USS LEYTE GULF (CG 55), and USS MOBILE BAY (CG 53).

Governance of IT • Defining the IT Sustainment Costs • Associated each of 140+ IT programs and projects to BUMED Functional Managers located within “M” Codes. • Associating each of 140+ programs and projects to Program Managers at NAVMISSA. • Defining cost to sustain each of 140+ programs and projects • Prioritizing each of 140+ programs and projects • Establishing common configuration for computer hardware • Establishing common software and hardware acquisition suite procurement capability • Establishing clear policy for acquisition of new IT capabilities • M6 has received IT program briefs for NMSC and NAVMISSA. We will schedule similar briefs for NME, NMW and NCA during Q1 FY10

Information Assurance Issues • Delayed reporting of completion of NETWARCOM directed actions • on schedule • Resolution of all Certification and Accreditation issues at all MTFs. • Many Initial Authority(s) to Operate remain beyond allowed • time in status. Maximum time 12 months. • Insufficient training to IA personnel across Navy Medicine enterprise
