A Consultative Group of Ministers Established by UNEP in February 2010 Co-chairs: Mr John Njoroge Michuki, Minister for Environment, Kenya (developing countries)Ms Paula Lehtomäki, Minister for Environment, Finland (developed countries) Mr Achim Steiner, the Executive Director of UNEP (an adviser to the group)

  4. Group’s Mandate To consider the broader reform of the IEG system, building on a previously identified set of options but remaining open to new ideas

  5. The second and final meeting in Finland 21-23 November Aims to seek common, solid ground by agreeing on clear and concrete elements and options for future IEG . Focus will be on the aspects where there are greatest potential for convergence Political commitment is crucial a focused political message from the meeting

  7. Major Groups and Stakeholders MGS have provided important inputs for the process The inputs from MGS for the IEG-process are essential because they help to outline and proportion the process During today’s consultations we would like to carefully listen the messages from MGS .
