Fire Services Department • The Department has: • an establishment of about 9,200 uniformed personnel, and • about 600 civilian members. • Divided into: • Operational Fire Commands • Fire Safety Command • Licensing and Certification Command • Ambulance Command • Fire Services Headquarters Command • Administration Division Information as at January 2013

Fire Services Department • The Service: • is more than 9,500 strong, and • commanded by the Director of Fire Services, who is assisted by a Deputy Director. • The three operational Fire Commands: • Hong Kong Command • Kowloon Command • New Territories Command • Each is headed by an Assistant Director of Chief Fire Officer rank. • Each is organized into four to five geographical divisions. • Each division contains four to seven fire stations.   4. Fire Safety Command • Commanded by an Assistant Director of Chief Fire Officer rank. • Comprises five functional divisions: • Building Improvement 1 • Building Improvement 2 • Railway Development Strategy • New Projects • Support Information as at January 2013

  5. Licensing and Certification Command • Led by an Assistant Director of Chief Fire Officer rank. • Comprises five functional divisions: • Policy • Dangerous Goods • Two Fire Protection Regional Offices • Fire Service Installations Task Force • Fire Service Installations and Ventilation Information as at January 2013

  6. Ambulance Command • Supervised by an Assistant Director of Chief Fire Officer rank. • Has two operational regions. • Each operational region is split into two geographical divisions. Information as at January 2013

  7. Fire Services Headquarters Command • Headed by an Assistant Director of Chief Fire Officer rank. • Comprises: • Anumber of central units • Fire Services Training School Information as at January 2013

  8. Administration Division • Staffed by civilians. • Headed by the Departmental Secretary who is a Principal Executive Officer. Information as at January 2013
